Http://www.CockatielsHealth.com brings you another video clip of cockatiels Shadow and Cricket courtesy of Greg. This time Shadow dances All Shook Up Cockatiel Style.
Be sure to enjoy their other dances which on one hand are very amusing and on the other belie compensation behaviour for unmet needs. So let's laugh some more while pondering the concept that many of the emotions and needs of birds might parallel our own.
Details of other videos of Shadow and Cricket dancing are :

http://www.CockatielsHealth.com brings you Hot To Trot Randy Bird Dance featuring Shadow egged on by Cricket who is along for the ride, and courtesy Greg McCarthy.
Avian Vet Specialist Dr Ross Perry notes that this video is highly amusing and close to x-rated but not quite. It shows another aspect of Randy Bird Syndrome behaviour. Cricket and Shadow are friends but are both males and neither have compatible partners of the opposite sex and same species yet. During peak breeding season they're feeling more than their oats and find a rolling dowel perch is not so easy! Learn lots more about Randy Bird Syndrome in Dr Ross Perry's book "Caring for Birds with Love" available from http://www.DrRossPerry.com.au
